Early Life

The West Delhi Cricket Academy was created in 1998 and Kohli was part of its first intake. Kohli first came into the spotlight when he played for Delhi in a Ranji Trophy match against Karnataka on the day of his father's death. Choosing to stay and bat, he went on to score 90 runs. Mithun Manhas, the team's captain, remarked that "That is an act of great commitment to the team and his innings turned out to be crucial".
Kohli captained the victorious Indian team at the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia.Batting at number 4, he scored 235 runs in 6 matches at an average of 47, including a century against the West Indies U-19s.He was also commended for making several tactical bowling changes during the tournament.His mother noted that "Virat changed a bit after that day. Overnight he became a much more matured person. He took every match seriously. He hated being on the bench. It's as if his life hinged totally on cricket after that day.Kohli was instrumental in India's win of the 2009 Emerging Players Tournament in Australia. In the final against South Africa, Kohli scored a century and India went on to win the game by 17 runs. Kohli emerged as the leading run scorer of the tournament, aggregating 398 runs from seven matches including two centuries and two fifties.


Personal Life

It is not much known about the personal life of the cricketer.The South African cricket player Herschelle Gibbs is said to be the role model of Virat Kohli. Virat had a golden colored tattoo of a dragon graved on his hand which according to him is for bringing goodness in his performance during the matches he plays. Thus Virat Kohli has become the one and only player of the late Indian One day cricket team to carry a tattoo on his body. Apart from the game of cricket Virat is interested in the lawn tennis. The game attracts him and he is great fan of both the Indian tennis player Leander Paes and the famous Swiss tennis player Roger Federer. Virat enjoys playing tennis and going on long drive with his lady friend Sanjana who is a Kannada actress during his free time or whenever he is not playing or practicing cricket. Virat has appeared in many televisions commercial for leading brands. During the commercial of Fast Trek he paired with the Bollywood actress Genelia D’Souza. It is not much known about the love life of Virat .The ‘mystery woman’ in Indian cricketer Virat Kohli’s life was last spotted shopping with him in Singapore. Izabelle(The mystery women) is a Brazilian model whose pictures with Virat carrying her hand-bag as she hopped from one shop to the other went viral on the internet.The model cum actress has now shifted base to Mumbai.  If reports are to be believed, what started as a casual date has become more serious.

When it comes to advertisement earnings, there;s a new king of the pack. Overtaking batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni in the endorsement battle, Virat Kohli has emerged as the new highest earner from advertisements.
Kohli has reportedly signed a Rs 10-crore per year deal with German sports goods giants Adidas, which is said to be the most lucrative contract signed by an Indian sportsperson. The three-year deal will see the 24-year-old endorsing the brand's shoes and apparel. Kohli is estimated to have earned around Rs 40-crore last year from brand endorsements, but that amount is expected to substantially increase with these two new deals. Currently Kohli endorses 13 brands, including Toyota, Pepsi and Cinthol. Kohli's brand value has risen to 10-crore, which puts him in the same league as Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor.
