Ayesha Mukherjee has become a sensation of sorts, courtesy her beauty and the control she exercises on the 27-year-old sportsperson. Ayesha loves sports and is an amateur boxer and her mother is a Britisher and father is a Bengali which is why she speaks fluent Bengali.
The love story of Shikhar and Ayesha started off, when the two got acquainted through a social networking site. The duo was the common friends of Harbhajan Singh on the website and it was Bhajji who introduced the duo.
Ayesha has two daughters from her earlier marriage.Another interesting angle to the lovebirds is that Shikhar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukherjee got engaged way back in 2009, but Shikhar postponed the wedding by three years as he wanted to earn a respectable place in the Indian team before taking the plunge.
